What is dharma⌁licious?
It’s a buddhist-inspired community for curious minds to come together and establish an ongoing contemplative practice that supports us in living wiser, kinder, calmer, and happier lives.
- Weekly online sessions (Wednesdays 8pm-9.30pm UK)
- 3pm-4.30pm EST / 9pm-10.30pm CET
- Exploring secular buddhist philosophy, insights, and themes
- Learn and practice a variety of meditations and mindfulness techniques
- Discussions, Q&As, sharing of experiences, giving and getting support
- Creation of a meditation / resource library to support your practice in daily life
- Group size will be limited to ensure an open, friendly, intimate, and supportive vibe can be offered and maintained.
- Joining the group is free for the first month to help you decide if it’s right for you. After that, you’ll be invited to make a monthly contribution, but how much you pay is up to you. I don’t want cost to be a barrier to you benefiting from being a member (and yes, it really is ok to continue for free).
Attendance
dharma⌁licious is not intended to be a “dip in, dip out” community. Its purpose is to provide regular and consistent support to help you establish, practice, develop and sustain your own contemplative practice. Please consider if you can commit to attending on a weekly basis. Understandably, there may be occasional weeks when it is not possible for you to attend, but if you think non-attendance is likely to be a common occurrence, this may not be the right time to join.
Maintaining a personal practice
To get the most out of dharma⌁licious, you are encouraged to maintain your own personal mindfulness / meditation practice between the weekly sessions. It is completely up to you what your practice looks like and just how regular it is; however, consistency is key, and I recommend aiming to maintain a daily practice.
Please consider if you are willing and able to carry out formal and informal mindfulness / meditation practices as part of your daily / weekly routines.
Limitations of the community
While I am a qualified and experienced mindfulness meditation teacher, I am not a Buddhist scholar. I have been passionate about Buddhist teachings and practices for several years and have benefited greatly from applying what I’ve learned to my own life. I teach these principles and insights to others only as it pertains to my own understanding and experience.
I have a commitment to ongoing personal practice and deepening my understanding, which includes regular mentorship with my own teacher who spent 12 years as a Buddhist nun alongside the venerable Zen master, Thich Nhat Hanh, at Plum Village, France.
Bear in mind that dharma⌁licious is not a Buddhism study group, nor does it represent any specific Buddhist tradition, lineage, learning path or doctrine.
It is completely secular in nature and will explore Buddhist themes quite broadly, for the purposes of helping to make your mindfulness meditation practice (and approach to life) more meaningful and enriching.
I do hope you will be able to join us.
Please do feel free to reach out with any questions.
